Mansfield Park, J. Austen
★★★★☆
we got some mixed feelings on this one chief... I'll have a more in-depth review in my 'book reviews' page.
The Death of Ivan Ilyich, L. Tolstoy
★★★☆☆
My copy of this was actually in a 'Tolstoy's Death of Ivan Ilyich and Other Stories' copy, so to be hoenst my memory of it isn't too clear because it was sandwiched between Tolstoy's other great works. That being said, I do remember enjoying it and just feeling a tremendous amount of sadness and loneliness for Ivan.

fuck the formatting for this one, I HATED this book. My review from goodreads is posted in the 'book reviews' tab so you can understand why. If you loved it, then I'm happy for you, but I really didn't enjoy it - please don't kill me.

Dracula, B. Stoker
★★★★★
Despite Dracula being placed this far down the shelf, this is probably the first book out of all these ones that I read. It was definitely the first classic I read, and I LOVED it. It's what made me start reading even more classics!
Despair, V. Nabokov
★★★☆☆
It's definitely one of those books that gets starts off a bit boring-ish (but okay), and then really picks up at the end.
The Bell Jar, S. Plath
☆☆☆☆☆?
to be written...
The Woman in White, W.Collins
★★★★★
Carried this massive brick of a book around Europe with me, and I don't regret it.
Tess of the D'Urbevilles, T. Hardy
★★★★★
SPECTACULAR!!! STUNNING!!! A MUST READ!!!!
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, P. Suskind
★★★★★
It's so good I have two copies of it.
Spring Snow, Y. Mishima
★★★★★
I'm not really the type of romance books, so the fact that I loved this book so much really, really surprised me.
A Little Life, H. Yanagihara
★★★★★
Definitely do proceed with caution and take breaks reading the book. As much as I love the writing it definitely isn't something you should be reading quickly without taking breaks. Some of the stuff in here was so bad I had to put the book down for a while to process it before picking it back up.
Heaven, M. Kawakami
★★☆☆☆
Man what?? Why was this hyped to heaven (BADUM TSSS) and back? The writing is nice which is why I give it two stars, but the actual story...?
Letters to a Young Poet, R.M. Rilke
★★★★☆
Lolita, V. Nabokov
★★★★★
Anyone who thinks people who enjoy this book are weirdos are clearly people who've never read it. I own this in hardcover for a reason. This is my first and only Penguins clothbound.
A Room of One's Own, V. Woolf
★★★★★
My first Woolf and I loved it, def need to read more!!!
Letters to his Father, F. Kafka
★★★☆☆
Really heartbreaking because I felt that I could really relate to Kafka in some sense.
Never Let Me Go, K. Ishiguro
★★★★☆
Man, it was heartbreaking. Definitely something to reread.
The Remains of the Day, K. Ishiguro
★★★★★
Oh man, when I say this is up there as one of my favourite books, I mean it. Nothing frm Ishiguro has been able to top it. The heartbreak is unbeatable and completely next level. I mean it when I say that I loved EVERYTHING about this book.
A Pale View of Hills, K. Ishiguro
★★★★☆
There's a lot of subtelty within the text that you have to look out for. But Ishiguro's writing is beautiful and pleasant to read, as always!
White Knights, F. Dosteoyevsky
★★★★☆
Definitely a book you should start with if you've not read him before and think you may be intimidated!
A Vindication on the Rights of Woman, M. Wollstonecraft
★★★★★
One of the first ever feminist literature pieces I've read.
Stoner, J. Williams ★★★★★
I read this in one sitting instead of sleeping.
The Prince, N. Machiavelli
★★★★★
Obviously I don't agree with all of Machiavelli's ideas, I just like him because he's funny.
No Longer Human, O. Dazai
★★★★☆
Miserable, like Stoner.

hello reader! assuming you are a reader, and that's why you're here. If you're not a reader, well, hi anyway, you should get into reading! anyway, this is my digital library where I record the books I read/am currently reading. I don't read a lot because I'm often too busy with school, but I try to read when possible.
...anyway, explore, hover over the books in the bookshelf to see a tiny review! I'll leave you alone and get back to coding.

P.S. this page is a massive WIP so it's very empty!!!!
